米国の抗議デモ各地に飛び火、ＮＹは３週目に突入

ニューヨーク（ＣＮＮ） 米ニューヨークのウォール街で始まった抗議デモは今週で３週目に突入し、全米に広がる動きを見せている。
「ウォールストリートを占拠せよ」のスローガンの下に集まったデモ参加者は、指導者不在のまま毎日のように集会を開催。企業の私利私欲追求やガソリン価格高騰、医療保険制度の不備など批判の矛先はさまざまだが、参加者同士の結束は強まっている。
同様のデモは米国各地に広がり、それぞれウェブサイトを通じて参加者を募っている。「シカゴを占拠せよ」と呼びかけたデモは２日で１０日目に入り、ロサンゼルスでは１日に市内の広場から市庁舎までデモ行進が行われた。ウェブサイトには「革命が起きつつある。ただニュースにならないだけだ」とのスローガンが掲載されている。
ボストンでは労働組合や市民団体など３４組織でつくる活動団体が結成され、９月３０日から翌日にかけてデモ行進などを実施した。
シアトルの抗議活動のウェブサイトでは、全米に広がるこうした動きを「さまざまな人種、性別、政治理念を持った人々による指導者のいない抵抗運動」と表現。唯一の共通点として「１％による腐敗と私利私欲をもはや容認できなくなった９９％が我々だ」と述べ、米国の富裕層とそれ以外の層の間には深い溝があると指摘した。
各地のデモはこれまでのところ平穏に展開され、目立った騒ぎは起きていない。ニューヨークでは１日にブルックリン橋を封鎖したとしてデモ参加者７００人以上が警察に拘束されたが、その後、違反切符を切られて釈放された。
